Macee brought her brother some toys to play with and she's reading him a book. He really enjoyed the book and toys :-)

Summer Fun

This is our whole summer in one post. Lake Powell, Bear Lake, Park City, Lagoon, getting "pretties", 4th of July and playing in the yard. WOW! We got it all in and now we're just waiting for snow.

IT's A....

BOY! Yep, it's officially a boy! A little slow on the post cause we've known for a few weeks, but I've been trying to wrap my brain around blue instead of pink. Telly is getting use to the idea now, too. Working on a name, so if there are any good suggestions, let me know.

Suprise!!

We are having a baby and Macee is very excited! You might not be able to tell from the picture, but she really is. I'm due 12/11, so I'm 19 wks right now. It looks like it might be a boy, but we'll know for sure tomorrow at our big ultrasound. I'll keep ya posted!

Best Salmon Recipe

Calling all grilling /summer recipes!! I'm looking for your favorite meals/recipes that scream summer! Leave a comment, then YOU post all the details of how you grubb on these hot evenings. I'll start with the best salmon recipe. We eat it all the time and it's an easy clean up.

Rub a little olive oil on any size piece of salmon. Cover with Lawrys Seasoning Salt and lemon pepper. I don't think you could put too much, so cover it well. Wrap in tin foil and cook on your grill for 15-20 min, depending on the size of your salmon.

If you love this recipe (which I'm sure you will) and you're looking for a great caterer, leave me a comment and I'll give you the number or just check out the website of The Company Grill!

Happy Grilling!

I'M TWO!!

Well, getting closer to 3 now. I just wanted to write down some details cause it's easy to forget. Macee went to her 2 year check-up and the results are:

Weight: 21lbs 14oz (3%)
Height: 31.5 inches (3%)
Head: 48.7 cm (50%)

She's talking so much and repeats anything you say. She loves her babies, puppies, singing, her binki (what do ya do about that) and playing outside. Can't wait to see what else this girl has in store. Love ya Macee!!

One Proud Papa

We took Macee skiing a few weeks ago with all (well, mostly all) the Longhurst cousin. It was a little rough at first trying to figure out how to get Macee, skis, polls, equipment and diaper bag to the lodge, plus Macee was tired and wondering why we were torturing her in a snowsuit and big boots. At this point we realized why most people don't take their 1 year olds skiing and that this day was clearly for her papa. Things got better once we convinced her to get on the lift and we headed down the mountain. We held her under her arms or she'd stand between the two of us. She really liked it and was saying "weeee" all the way down the mountain. Our day was a success and all the effort was worth it. Lets just say she had one proud papa.

Mediocrity Tag

Tagged by Skye O & Denise who were tagged by Abby O: I challenge all who read this plea, to put down their craft projects, and t-ball trophies---just for a few hours, and let me see the human side of your lives. I'm not asking for a video account of you losing your temper after one of your 45 sons pees in the garbage can. Maybe just a picture of an unmade bed, or a mole with hair growing out of it. Just listen to your hearts on this one post, and then get back to business as usual.

If you can't tell, this is the landing of our stairs. We are working on finishing our basement and we needed a place to put "stuff" while the guys were working. When it's 11:00 pm the night before they are coming it seems like a good solution. But now it's been over a month and the landing & stairs are still covered in "stuff."

This is the laundry room right inside from the garage. It naturally becomes a catch all for anything coming in from the cars, the store, outside, the mailbox, shoes or someone dropping something off.
Trust me, this isn't the worst the house has been. There are times I wonder what tornado hit our house and missed the neighbors completely.

Water!

How do all kids know the "ask for a drink of water right before bed" trick? Seriously! They ask for water to buy themselves just a few more minutes out of bed and it's not just my kid, right?

Day 27

Welcome home Trevor! My nephew came home from his mission in Russia on Monday. We went to see him yesterday and introduce Macee to her cousin she's never met. (It's crazy to think I was pregnant when he left) We're just glad he's home and his mom DID make it through the whole two years-it was questionable those first couple months if she would.

Day 14 ++++

I am not dead, just went on a quick trip to California. We hit Sea World, Disneyland & California Adventure. The weather was GREAT, the crowds were tiny and the drive was LONG. The best part was that Telly got to celebrate his birthday in the happiest place on Earth. Happy b-day. Here are a few photos.

This is what unsupervised coloring looks like.

Day 12

I thought this was such a cute picture of Macee on a walk in her rain boots.

Day 11

Grandma's feet & Aunt Skye's toes (I don't know, I've just been told) I just think they're cute. I had to use the extra fast drying nail polish, but she let me do it!

Day 7, 8, 9 and 10

We spent the weekend with my brother's 5 kids while they went to Mexico. We went up sledding in the mountains and had a sleep over at Nate & Emily's cabin. They are such good kids and lots of fun to be with.

(Little Lee was in the other van with Emily & Nate)

Day 6

I was working on something for Telly and I needed Macee to be entertained for a minute, so I gave her a Fun Dip. She thought her finger worked better than the candy stick.

Day 4 AND 5

I missed day 4. (It's crazy how fast some days go by) And I'm racing to get day 5 posted before day 6. So here they are.

Day 4

Telly sent me this picture when I was at work.

Day 5

This has been my project today. It's 11 Apricot Chicken Dinners for a meal swap I'm doing with some friends this week. That means by Thursday they'll turn into 11 different dinners... it's magic.

Day 3

Macee put all her stuffed toys to bed. She was walking around saying "Shhh" with her finger over her lips.

Saturday, February 7, 2009

DAY 2

I barely made it, but here it is. I went to a baptism this morning and came home to this. I thought it was cute. She is such a daddy's girl.

30 Pictures...I hope

OK, I'm gonna do it! 30 days of pictures. Each day I'll post one new picture (or maybe 2). I'm hoping this will get me back in the grove of Bloggin. I've kinda lost steam, but this will rekindle the love for the Blog. Here goes nothing...
