There is one good thing about having sick kids, they give lots of snuggles. Tagg was snuggling all day. Love it. Hope he gets better soon.

Griff is starting to feel better, Tagg is in the thick of it and I'm feeling pretty crappy. Good night.

Sick day

Two sick boys and one tired momma makes for a long day. Hopefully everyone will be better tomorrow.

Griff has a fever today and has just been laying around all day. Poor kid. He just wants to be held. Macee has been playing outside with friends on the snow plow pile up. She calls it the fort. I'm trying to pull our house together from the weekend, which usually is an all day process. Now, what to make for dinner?? That's always the question this time of day. I need to make a meal calendar, that saves so much time (and money). Nothing too exciting to blog about.

Sunday

We got so much snow today! It's just crazy. Telly had to shovel the driveway after church so Macee went outside to play in the snow. She was loving it and was playing until after it was dark. Griffin had a fever after church and asked to go to be at 7:30 and Taggert was in bed shortly after. 1:00 church makes for some tired boys who miss their naps, but it makes for an awesome bedtime.

RS and good friends

I went to a Stake Relief Society Conference this morning. The theme was "By Small and Simple Ways are Great Things Brought to Pass". It was a perfect message for me to hear. All the small tasks I do in a day (cleaning, laundry, wiping noses, wiping bums, doing dishes, etc...) are preparing my kids to be future missionaries, moms and hopefully just good people. It's all worth it in the end. Then I met my High School friends for dinner. I've been friends with those girls for a long time. We always have such a good time together.  Love my kids, love Telly, love my life...

Sleep, glorious sleep!!

I took Macee to get her feet zoned yesterday, and she slept in her bed ALL NIGHT LONG!! So amazing!! I love voodoo. She was so proud of herself and we all feel a lot better at our house. We went to the Aggie basketball game last night. We haven't been in a long, long time so it was fun for us all to go. No school for Macee today, so we are gonna have a nice inside day playing cause the weather is so rotten. The air is bad, it's foggy, it's raining and very cold which makes for bad roads, so we'll snuggle up and make the best of it all.

Wow, it's Thursday already? Time flies. Griffin and Macee are both at school right now and I have a bedroom calling my name to come paint it. Macee is getting her feet zoned after school to try and help with her sleeping. It's helped n the past, so I'm willing to try again. Wish us luck.

Home from the Bird's cabin for the long weekend. The kids had so much fun with their cousins. Taggert loved the snowmobiles. We had fun playing games 'til way too late. Good family time. Macee said on the way home that the cabin is more fun than home. Soo true.

Back to Life, Back to Reality

I'm having to detox from vacation and get back in the swing of things. Griffin was very helpful with that today. He spilled a whole container of strawberry jam on the floor and down the barstool. It was kinda funny cause he kept saying that "it fell by itself". Then later in the day, he took a red marker in his room and colored all over himself, his clothes, his toes, forehead, lips, pillows, shoes and the iPad. He got all that done while I was helping Macee with her homework. I was able to clean up most of the marker mess and we had a long talk about what we can color on. He said sorry and was off playing again. He is always so sweet with his apologies. Macee started ballet class today and she was really excited to go and happy when she left her class. She was showing us some things she learned and was really excited to learn how to "dance on her toes".  She was such a good girl today and was very helpful with the Tagg man. Poor Tagg had a car riding day. We had to drop Griff off at school, pick him up, take Macee to dance, take Griff to tumbling, pick Macee up from dance then pick Griff up from tumbling. He is talking so much better since he got his tubes in.

Home Sweet Home

It's always good to be home, even home from Hawaii. I have lots of blogging to catch up on since I couldn't blog on my phone while we were there. Pictures coming...

Vacation!!

I can see clearly now

I got new glasses AND contacts today, so I'm seeing everything extra good.  It will help me see the blue ocean, sandy beach and bright tropical scenery in HAWAII.  We leave in 2 days so I've just been getting things ready for us to go. I'm nervous to leave the kids and excited to spend some time with Telly in the warm weather.

We switched to 1:00 church, which has it's pros and cons. Pros- little more time in the morning to get ready. Cons- no naps for anyone. Griff is a Sunbeam now and Macee really likes her new Primary teachers (Bro. & Sis. Anderson). We had a very simple dinner of left over shrimp, pot stickers and steak we had in the freezer. We played a few different games as a family, then tried to get the kids to be early, 2/3 is pretty good.

Saturday, the day after Friday

Saturday is a special day, it's the day we get ready for Sunday... we had kinda a boring day. I worked on my RS lesson I found out last night I get to teach (ahhhh, a little scared about that). Telly fixed the brakes on the truck. Griffin got his tools out to help his dad in the garage and Macee designed clothes in  a little notebook. Pretty cute stuff she comes up with. Tagg just cruises around emptying drawers and pulling stuff off shelves. He and Griff are starting to be little buddies playing cars or wrestling together. I ate a fortune cookie today and my fortune said " Functioning superbly comes automatically to you." WOW! I'm gonna have to work on that one.

All Me Day, well kinda

Today I felt like what some might call a "Real Housewive of Cache Valley" and I quite enjoyed it. I got my toes did, my fingernails did and my hair did all in the same day (imagine me saying that in an accent or else it just sounds like I'm using bad grammar ). My kids were all home with a babysitter and now I'm ready to go on vacation. T -5 days 'til we leave for Hawaii. Wahoo!! Telly and I went to the movie and saw Parental Guidance. Pretty cute and funny. Nothing like Les Miserable we saw a few weeks ago and loved. Good Friday for this girl.

Bread makin' day

Made bread today with a new ORGANIC WHOLE WHEAT flour. Sounds healthy, huh? Probably shouldn't take all day, but for some reason it does. Everything was going great, until the very last loaf was put in the pan to rise and then the chair Griffin was standing on started to slip away form the counter. He grabbed the container of flour on the way down and it spilled all down him and onto the floor. I told him not to move cause I had to grab the camera. Funny boy.

Doing good so far

We (kids and I) drove down to have lunch at the Pizza Factory in Syracuse for Cara's birthday. Lunch with 3 children is always very "exciting" (aka not relaxing), but it's better than the PB I would have had at home. The DVD player was broken in the car, so we got some good conversation time, which is always fun. Macee was dancing in the backseat to the music. Highlight of the day was Griffin singing "here's my number, call me maybe".  Love those kiddos!!

HELLO 2013!!

Here I go with a commitment to Blog everyday in 2013. I hesitate to commit to such a task, but it's to help me remember the crazy, good, bad and funny times we have  cause heaven knows that's how we roll. I just hope I can remember to do it (I'll have to set an alarm). Here goes nothing...
