Christmas Fun!!

We had a great Christmas celebrating and being with family. It was fun to see family that is far away, the annual shopping trip, Grandma Greats Christmas Eve party, seeing Santa Christmas Eve :-) and watching Macee open and enjoy her presents. We had so much fun. It's always over way too fast.

It must be love!

Anyone who knows Telly knows what a big deal this is...ON SATURDAY HE PUT UP CHRISTMAS LIGHTS! Yes, it's true. Telly said he never wanted to get married because he didn't want to "waste a Saturday putting up Christmas lights." I guess he must really love me. I think they look great and it's a good thing since I think they will be up all-year-round. Merry Christmas to me!

Can you say WHITE TRASH?

I think this story points heavily to the fact that yes, indeed I am WHITE TRASH. I was headed home after work this week and I still had on my green hospital scrubs. I was clear on the other side of town and there's a cute little craft store that I wanted to go look in. I parked right at the front door of the store and went to get out of my car and there was a cop standing there. At this point I noticed his flashing lights were on right behind my car. I asked him "are you here for me?" He said "yes" (I'm sure I looked a little confused at this point) He then proceeded to tell me I was going 74 in a 55, my registration was expired, I had a crack in my windshield and he sure hoped I was wearing my seat belt.

He then asked for my drivers license, which I had been meaning to get back from Telly for a few weeks now --OOPS. As I sat there, waiting for my heavy ticket, people were trying to leave, but they couldn't cause the cop car was blocking them in, so we all just sat there together-how embarrassing. Finally, he returned with a white piece of paper with a LIST of all my charges : 74 in a 55, cracked windshield, no license, expired registration and wrong address on my license. Wow, I was not doing well at all. The cop then told me it must be my lucky day cause he was giving me a WARNING for all of them. What?? I'm chalking that one up to the power of bright green scrubs.

Lake Powell 2008

We went to Powell with the Longhursts and we had a blast. It was perfect weather. I was worried about being cold and me not wanting to get in the water because of it. It was hot during the day and cool at night. The Dream Weaver behaved this year and there were no problems a.k.a fires, broken engines, leaking gas and my favorite- sewer overflow. Good trip everyone!!

Galoon aka Lagoon

We are alive at the Longhurst home! I've been wanting to put some pictures of when we went to Lagoon this summer with the Longhursts, so here they are. I remember going to Galoon (for some reason we call it that in my family) when I was little and it was a BIG deal. I would pack my fanny-pack the night before with everything I would need the next day like lotion, chap stick and money. And then after a very long day of riding rides I remember shutting my eyes and feeling like I was moving still. In high school my friends and I got season passes to Lagoon. We thought it would be cool cause we could drive there whenever we wanted (i think we only went 2 times). We put fake names on the passes like Treasure, Autumn, Mercedes. Kinda weird friends-you know who you are...hee, hee.

Dirt Bike for Sale!!

I have a dirt cheep dirt bike for sale. I figure my husbands life is worth more than I could get from the dang thing. It's a yellow bike with red handle bars-it's real nice. It does have one broken brake from hitting a cow (do you know the chances of hitting a cow on a dirt bike?), but "that will only cost 12 bucks to fix" so overall it still a great deal for you. Best offer gets the bike, I'll start the bidding at $10. Let me know!

Bald no more!

Macee's first piggys. I've been waiting for this day for a while. They are kinda fake, cause the top isn't long enough, I just did a comb-over, swoopy thing. Her hair is growing quickly, so hopefully I won't have to fake it for too long.

Motocross Championship!!

I am such a slacker, I freely admit. I have been meaning to put these pictures on for a month now. This is when we went to Vegas the beginning of May for the Supercross Championship. I gave Telly tickets for his birthday. It really was a lot of fun to see the bikes in person. On tv you don't realize how fast and high they are. It was a fun, relaxing weekend with no Macee. Thanks Cara for keeping her. Telly said it was the best day of his life (i think he meant this year?)

Happy Birthday!!

And I got the job!!

So, I applied for a job at the hospital on Labor & Delivery and I got it. This is going to be very weird and different for me and Telly. We, and especially Telly, likes being free and able to do what we want and a job sometimes changes that. I am very nervous and excited to be working again. I'm remembering that really awesome feeling of staying up all night and I kinds feel like barfing. Now that's a pleasant thought, right?

Church Giggles

I had a funny thing happen at church today. I was conducting Primary, so I was sitting on the stand next to a little Sunbeam who had just given the scripture. He turned to me and said "there is a girl back there dressed like Santa Clause," and he pointed behind him. There was a little girl wearing a deep purple dress, trimmed with fur. Macee has a dress like that too and it does look like a Santa outfit. I started laughing, and then I couldn't stop. You know, like the Church Giggles. The kind that you just can't make go away. I am a grown adult now, and yet the Church Giggles get me just the same as when I was a kid. 

Moto Race 2008

Telly raced in a Moto race in Mesquite 2 weekends ago. It was half desert, half track. We had some good times hangin' out with friends and enjoying the sun. Telly had to be to the track by 7 am, so he set his alarm, woke Quinn up,  got all ready and then realized he was an hour early. Telly had been out late, woke up early (extra early) so he didn't really get 

much sleep before the big race, but it didn't seem to affect him cause he did

 great.

And the Sign Comes Down

This is a little late, but we aren't moving anymore. The sign is down and all that's left is some roughed up snow where the sign use to be. I thought with all the snow it was going to get covered eventually. Telly is going to be doing REAL ESTATE and MORTGAGES with his brothers, so those of you in Logan, listen for his commercial on the radio. SUPERSTAR!

Macee's Easter Dress

This picture show the dress a little better.

For some weird reason, our internet hasn't been working for the last few days (hee, hee). I've been wanting to put these pictures up of Macee in this dress her Grandma Niece (Telly's mom) made her. She is going to be selling them on etsy.com and she needed a live model. Actually, how it all started was she found the shoes and wanted to make a dress to match the shoes. Now Macee has an Easter dress with matching shoes. Thanks grandma!

Chicken Taco Soup

This is not my recipe so I can't take the credit. It's my cute friend Ky's recipe and it is great. I make this soup a lot and Telly loves it, so here it is. ENJOY!!

Chicken Taco Soup

 2 1/2 cups cooked chicken

 11oz Mexican corn

 3 can cream of chicken soup

 2 can chicken broth

 1/4 envelope taco seasoning 

 8 oz sour cream

 8 oz Mexican Velveeta cheese

Combine cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, taco seasoning and corn. Bring to a boil. In separate bowl combine sour cream and Velveeta Cheese. Remove 1 cup of boiling mixture and add slowly to sour cream/cheese mixture. This keeps it from curdling. Add everything together. Eat with tortilla chips. 

I've even made this with all fat free ingredients and it still tastes great.

We went to the Aggie gymnastics meet last week. There weren't very many people there so we sat way close. Unfortunately they lost, but it was fun to be there. I think Macee wants to be a gymnast when she grows up. 

This is our friends, Danny & Rachel's little girl, Niamh (like Eve with an N). Her hair was going crazy there. We had fun and Macee loves playing with the kids. Go Aggies!

YEAH JORDAN & Heather! My nephew just found out he is going to Ohio State for dental school in the fall. (Maybe Telly will let us go to the dentist now. HA, HA!)

So...We celebrated our anniversary yesterday. 3 years, one kid and 12 businesses later we're still happily married. YEAH!

I think Macee stole her dad's face in this picture. 

Macee had her first day in the snow and she loved it! I think she thought it was food. By the end, she was crying cause her hand was cold.
