Well, getting closer to 3 now. I just wanted to write down some details cause it's easy to forget. Macee went to her 2 year check-up and the results are:
Weight: 21lbs 14oz (3%)
Height: 31.5 inches (3%)
Head: 48.7 cm (50%)
She's talking so much and repeats anything you say. She loves her babies, puppies, singing, her binki (what do ya do about that) and playing outside. Can't wait to see what else this girl has in store. Love ya Macee!!

One Proud Papa
We took Macee skiing a few weeks ago with all (well, mostly all) the Longhurst cousin. It was a little rough at first trying to figure out how to get Macee, skis, polls, equipment and diaper bag to the lodge, plus Macee was tired and wondering why we were torturing her in a snowsuit and big boots. At this point we realized why most people don't take their 1 year olds skiing and that this day was clearly for her papa. Things got better once we convinced her to get on the lift and we headed down the mountain. We held her under her arms or she'd stand between the two of us. She really liked it and was saying "weeee" all the way down the mountain. Our day was a success and all the effort was worth it. Lets just say she had one proud papa.

Mediocrity Tag
Tagged by Skye O & Denise who were tagged by Abby O: I challenge all who read this plea, to put down their craft projects, and t-ball trophies---just for a few hours, and let me see the human side of your lives. I'm not asking for a video account of you losing your temper after one of your 45 sons pees in the garbage can. Maybe just a picture of an unmade bed, or a mole with hair growing out of it. Just listen to your hearts on this one post, and then get back to business as usual.
If you can't tell, this is the landing of our stairs. We are working on finishing our basement and we needed a place to put "stuff" while the guys were working. When it's 11:00 pm the night before they are coming it seems like a good solution. But now it's been over a month and the landing & stairs are still covered in "stuff."
This is the laundry room right inside from the garage. It naturally becomes a catch all for anything coming in from the cars, the store, outside, the mailbox, shoes or someone dropping something off.
Trust me, this isn't the worst the house has been. There are times I wonder what tornado hit our house and missed the neighbors completely.

Water!
How do all kids know the "ask for a drink of water right before bed" trick? Seriously! They ask for water to buy themselves just a few more minutes out of bed and it's not just my kid, right?

Day 27
Welcome home Trevor! My nephew came home from his mission in Russia on Monday. We went to see him yesterday and introduce Macee to her cousin she's never met. (It's crazy to think I was pregnant when he left) We're just glad he's home and his mom DID make it through the whole two years-it was questionable those first couple months if she would.

Day 14 ++++
I am not dead, just went on a quick trip to California. We hit Sea World, Disneyland & California Adventure. The weather was GREAT, the crowds were tiny and the drive was LONG. The best part was that Telly got to celebrate his birthday in the happiest place on Earth. Happy b-day. Here are a few photos.
