This is what I've been working on...

Projects always take me so long to finish, but here are a few I've finished and a few I'm still working on.

My first quilt I made for Griffin. Not quite finished yet, but working on it. I had lots of help on this one (thanks Skye O & Denise).

I canned peaches and did my first salsa this year-done!
Tried a new recipe-fried Zucchini. Got the recipe from a neighbor and loved it-done and will do again.

Much Thanks!!

Thanksgiving with the Andersen Clan at my mom & dad's house. Much food, much pie and much noise. We are definitely a loud group, but we sure have fun. I am growing up, and made a pumpkin pie and a coconut cream pie to add to the large pie table-pretty proud of myself. The kids made gingerbread houses after dinner and the girls scouted out the good deals for Black Friday shopping.

More Halloween!

We had Grandma Neices famous Halloween party with games, yummy food, treasure hunts, mummy making and good family hang out time. Skye & Braken came to trick-or-treat with us. We made tin-foil dinners and the kids went and begged for candy. They lasted longer than I thought they would in the rain, but had to warm up by the fire after. Griffin got a Harley Davidson tatoo that lasted for weeks. Macee was having fun answering the door for the trick-or-treaters until she got scared at some little boy's costume. She opened the door, let a a high pitch scream, then slammed the door in his face-poor kid.

BIG girl bed!

After we got home from visiting Skye & Matt, we thought it was probably about time to get Macee into a big girl bed. She did fine sleeping in her crib. She never tried climbing out, but started saying she didn't want bars on her bed anymore. When it was time to go to sleep, she climbed up in her bed, pulled the covers up and told us good night. It only lasted a few minutes, but was cute while it did.

Going to Cohen's house...

Skye found a great deal on tickets to go visit, so we couldn't pass up the chance to go to Detroit. It was our kids first time on an airplane, so we didn't know what to expect. Things went pretty smoothly (except one minor flaw of missing our first plane-good thing there was a flight shortly after the one we were suppose to be on) The kids did great and Macee still talks about flying on a plane to go to "Cohen's house" (and Nixon and Aliza). She said she wanted to do that again.

We did a lot of hangin' out so the kids could play and we could talk and just spend time together. We did go to the mall, which is huge, to play and visit the Disney Store. Macee insisted on the princess fake fingernails as her souviner. When she had them on I heard her and Cohen in the next room playing and Cohen told her she needed to cut her nails cause they were too long.

Skye is an amazing person who does so much for her family and everyone around her, especially her ward. I was in awe watching her run her house, get around in a big city and give service to those around her. It was a fun, short weekend we had, and I hope we get to do it again sometime in the next 5 years...

Macee "getting beautiful" to see her cousins.

This is Macee working out with Skye. It was so cute she was grunting saying "wow this is really hard".

Happy Halloween

What a fun and wet Halloween! Macee loved being a nice witch and Griffin hated being an alien. This is the only full costume picture I got of Griff and I had to hold his hands of else he was ripping everything off. More pictures to come...

First Day of School!!

She was so excited to be big and go to school. This is the first of many "first days" of school. She had to have her fingernails painted and she asked the night before "what am I gonna wear to school?" I remember always laying out my first day of school outfit and making sure it was totally awesome. I asked my nephew, Izen, (he's 11) the night before he started school what he was wearing and he said um, probably shorts and a shirt. Obviously, not as big of a deal for boys. She's loving school and her cute little backpack.
